It is the leading institution in Slovenia for research on sustainable agriculture through innovative approaches and technology as well as through transfer of that knowledge to end users (farmers, agricultural companies, seed producers etc.) to improve crop production technology and quality of human lives.
Their experience on biological and integrated pest management, plant genetics and physiology, will be fundamental for the setup and development of the novel bioinocula (WP2), for the assessment of plant pest and diseases incidence (WP3) and the underlying effects on plant and beneficial biocontrol agents (WP5). KIS will also host one of the strawberry field trials (WP1, WP3).
