The European Commission published today a package of measures aimed at providing support to the agri-food sector in the time of COVID-19 outbreak.
These measures were proposed on 22 April and are now fully adopted. They form part of a wide-ranging package of measures adopted earlier on.
The measures include:
– Private storage aid, allowing the temporary withdrawal of products from the market.
– Flexibility for market support programmes.
– Temporary derogation from EU competition rules for the milk, flowers and potatoes sectors.
